A Redruth-based regulatory affairs consultancy has won a regional innovation award for its pace of growth in the pharmaceutical industry over the past two years.
TRAC, which employs 17 staff, was one of five South West businesses to scoop an award at this year's iNets South West Biomedical Innovation Awards.
The awards, in partnership with Medilink South West, recognised companies that have achieved success in five areas - start up, innovation, growth, NHS Partnership and export. TRAC received the growth award.
Formed in 2001 by Jonathan and Sarah Trethowan, TRAC provides independent consulting services to pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and healthcare companies, acting as a link between clients and the government regulatory agencies responsible for medicinal products across the world.
For the last two and a half years TRAC has been supported by the Coaching for High Growth programme run by Oxford Innovation, which offers up to 30 days of fully funded intensive coaching and assistance to help business in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly realise their growth potential.
Company director Mr Trethowan said: "We're delighted to have won this award; it's great to celebrate the success of South West businesses and we look forward to representing the region at the national awards next year."
