Police are appealing for information following a collision near Bude yesterday which left a 21-year-old man seriously injured.
A Honda Civic was travelling on the B3254 when it was in collision with an unattended Toyota Landcruiser parked in a layby at Launcells.
The driver of the Honda, the only occupant of the vehicle, sustained serious head and chest injuries and was flown to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth by air ambulance.
The man, who is from Launceston, remains in intensive care.
A specialist forensic investigation of the scene was conducted by police and the road was closed for around six hours.
Officers from the Force Serious Collisions Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened near to the junction of the A3072 around 11.35am.
