Police in West Cornwall are investigating possible links between two incidents involving men approaching young girls.
In the first, in Redruth, just before 10am on Monday, a ten-year-old girl was approached by a man she did not know in Close Hill.
The girl and the man, who had been driving a blue Transit van, had a brief conversation before the girl ran off. The incident was then reported to the police.
A spokesman for the force said there may have been no crime committed, but that they would like to speak to the man. He was described as being 30 to 35 years old and was wearing a black Quicksilver hooded top and baseball cap.
In the second incident yesterday, a 16-year-old was walking along Trevenson Road between 8am and 8.30am when a man approached and grabbed her wrist.
The girl was able to shake him off and ran away.
The man is described as in his late 20s and of stocky build.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said officers would be liaising to see if the incidents were related but he added: "There is nothing to suggest that they are at the moment."
