The infamous guerrilla knitting group, dubbed the 'Graffiti Grannys' have struck again, this time hitting a tree on Hayle's Penpol Terrace on Friday with dozens of pretty white snowflakes.
The mysterious group, which has been hitting the headlines for two years after its first night time knitting expedition in Mousehole, updated its Facebook page after the latest attack with pictures and a message.
It said: "Nightmare getting pictures as the wind was so strong, but they're up in Penpol Terrace Hayle, Please leave them till after Christmas so people can enjoy the stars, pom-poms and zillions of snowflakes!!"
Jan and Mervyn Sullivan, who live opposite the tree were delighted by the decorations, which they said looked "absolutely stunning".
A note left with the seasonal yarn creations said: "A Gift to Hayle from the Graffiti Grannys."
Mr Sullivan said: "So on behalf of the people of Hayle we would like to say 'thank you Graffiti Grannys, whoever you are, for this beautiful seasonal gesture, and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas."
The Graffiti Grannys are a group of women, who get together in their own time and at their own expense, to knit pieces which they then put around the community when no one is around to surprise and delight the public.
