WIDESPREAD flooding has caused multiple road closures across west Cornwall after hours of heavy rainfall.
Leedstown is amongst the worst affected areas with the B3302 at Fraddam and the B3280 in the village both closed.
Roads in St Buryan, Goldsithney and Hayle have also been affected with the A30 between Canonstown and St Erth experiencing surface water flooding.
Flooding incidents have also been reported at Heamoor and Newlyn.
More than 100 Cornwall Council highways staff, as well as environment and fire and rescue personnel, have been tackling flooding incidents since last night.
Drivers have been advised not to drive through flood waters because the waves created could damage homes and businesses.
Although the rainfall is expected to clear by this afternoon and tomorrow remain relatively dry, heavy rain has been forecast for the weekend and Monday.
