Two properties in Tregunnick Lane, Seaton, east of Looe, have been affected by a landslide from a cliff behind them.
Firefighters from Looe Community Fire Station were present and reported that mud and water entered the properties.
The fire crew ensured that occupants in neighbouring properties were aware of the situation and assisted with removal of water.
The main road in to Seaton, the B3247, has also suffered after yesterday's heavy rains. The road is affected by subsidence, where ground below the road has likely been washed away, with large cracks appearing in the road surface.
Motorists are asked to take extreme caution when travelling in the area.
