Truro City are set to kick off 2013 in the Blue Square Bet South at Dorchester Town tomorrow.

City player-manager Lee Hodges side remain under a transfer embargo and cast ten points adrift at the foot of the division.

However, Hodges is not thinking about any of that. The experienced 39-year-old former Plymouth Argyle and Torquay United player said: "After losing the last three games to the weather, it will just be nice to get out there playing again.

"I don't know what sort of reaction we are going to get because, although we trained well on Saturday, there is no substitute for playing and our last match was at home to Maidenhead over two weeks ago."

Truro City will be without full-back Bobby Hopkinson – waiting to complete a one-match suspension – but include Martin Watts, who had a 90 minute run-out in the reserves' 1-0 win at Hayle on Saturday.

Hodges said: "I don't think Barry Hayles would have made Saturday, but with Wattsy back playing I will be looking at taking 13 to Dorchester."

Bideford boss Sean Joyce is hoping the Robins can kick off the New Year tomorrow with an Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division cracker against in-form Weymouth at the Sports Ground.

Joyce's Robins are fresh from a 1-0 Boxing Day win at Frome Town and rested after a week off as they did not have a fixture on Saturday.

Weymouth played and won 3-1 at home to St Neots Town to sweep into the top five. Joyce is set to hand a debut to Ben Woods, following his mid-term transfer back to Bideford from Frome.

The Bideford boss said: "Weymouth are on a roll but so are we. It could be a cracker.

"I am hoping against all hope the game goes ahead, because all this rain and days like Saturday without games are doing me in.

"Clubs are losing a lot of holiday-time revenue because games are off and we are no different. Fingers crossed we may get 400 in for Weymouth, and that could be our biggest gate of the season."

Tiverton Town are set to make the short trip to Division One South and West rivals Taunton Town tomorrow.

Both clubs have had their last three League matches washed out, resulting in Tivvy boss Mark Saunders taking his squad to Exeter Arena for training on the running track on Saturday.

"Without games the team needed a work-out and blow-out, so having the Arena nearby is ideal," explained Saunders, who will be without the suspended duo Adam Faux and Paul Kendall as well as experienced midfielder Andy Taylor and injured striker Michael Nardiello (hamstring) tomorrow.
