Two people suffered smoke inhalation after being trapped on the top floor of a blazing building in Cornwall. Firefighters rescued the pair and a passer-by who had gone to their help at a block of flats in Liskeard. Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service received eight calls reporting the blaze at Bodgara Flats in Bodgara Way shortly after 3pm yesterday. Four engines attended the three-storey building. The fire was put out by 3.40pm and the residents were led to safety. A spokesman said: "One of them was conveyed to hospital by ambulance as a precautionary measure."
