Point-to-point action returns to the Devon and Cornwall area tomorrow with the North Cornwall Foxhounds hosting its meeting at the Royal Cornwall Showground, just outside Wadebridge, where fortunes can change up the stamina-sapping climb to the winning post.
The Moores StWenn Ltd-sponsored hunt members' race kicks off the card at 11.30am and of the entries, Buzz Me In has been in the frame four out of his five runs in points and could come home in front.
Kivells sponsor the men's open with a quality field of 15 entered. The Tracey Bailey-trained Offshore Account could take his winning tally into double figures.
Also on the entry list is Sue Trump's Kirkleigh who relishes testing ground and has five wins to his credit including a hunter chase at Exeter in May on good to soft.
The ladies' open could see Byerly Bear follow up on his comfortable win here at the last meeting.
Trained by Nigel Edmonds, he was well fancied that day and made all for Jo Buck beating favourite Sericina by eight lengths.
Next race is the restricted and entries include The Wealerdealer, who justified favourtism at Black Forest Lodge where he won a maiden by 15 lengths, and Jacqui Elliot's Ned White who will be looking to reverse the placings with Batu Ferringhi, who pipped him on the line for third here in a race won by Alright John.
Hops Oils sponsor the PPORA club members (novice riders) race in which Bryony Frost is likely to get the leg up again on Wee Fly. The pair teamed up to win in December, beating Clew Bay Cove in the final 150 yards.
The open maiden has attracted 33 entries and this race may well be divided. The confined wraps up the day's racing in which Jopero, a previous course winner here, could score for the inform yard of Kayley Jones.
The course has excellent viewing, the car parking is on hard standing and with a covered barn containing all on course facilities including bar, bookies, hot food, refreshments and trade stands – wellies are rarely needed.
Entrance is £10 car and driver and £5 each additional passenger with under 16s racing free. The course is located off the A39, west of Wadebridge, postcode PL27 7JE.
