CORNWALL'S largest provider of childcare services has been named in an annual review of the industry and praised for the quality of its provision.
Happy Days Nurseries featured in an annual review of the childcare industry that was published in the national Nursery World magazine.
In the review it states that Happy Days has shown growth and is now the 14th largest provider of childcare in the UK, and of those providers, it is listed in the top five for quality of childcare based on Ofsted reports.
Jackie Arthur, managing director of Happy Days Nurseries, said: "We are delighted to have achieved such an outstanding result on a national basis. We have consolidated our business and focused on quality and it has paid off.
"The children and parents come first in our business and it is our duty to give them the very best childcare. In our nurseries we implement the latest methodology in the development of children up to the age of five and we employ quality staff with experience and drive to run our nurseries to a high standard."
In the review Happy Days is listed above competition from large national chains such as Asquith, Bright Horizons, Busy Bees and TreeTops. Happy Days has 15 nurseries across Cornwall and one in Derrriford in Plymouth and all have maintained a good or outstanding rating by Ofsted.
In addition Happy Days is launching a new nursery at Summercourt. The Summercourt nursery is Cornwall's first commuter nursery and sits on the main A30 road through the County. The nursery is a showcase for the future of childcare in terms of innovation, environment and location.
