Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 90s was mugged by a teenager.
The incident occurred between 2.25pm and 2.35pm yesterday (Wednesday) in West Park, Wadebridge.
The victim was walking home and had just reached the top of some steps at the end of an alleyway in West Park when she was approached from behind and had her handbag snatched.
The offender ran off down a bridal way in the direction of Egloshayle Church.
The victim was not injured as a result of the incident but was naturally shaken up.
The beige double strapped handbag contained over £100 in cash, together with credit cards and some food items.
The offender is described as a male teenager, aged between 14 and 18 years, medium build and wearing dark clothing with a white motif between the shoulder blades on the rear of his top.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or from anyone who has any information regarding the incident.
