Three groups in Redruth are among those chosen by readers of the West Briton to share £4,000 gained by police from criminals through the Proceeds of Crime Act.
The Cornwall Community Cashback initiative will see Redruth Air Training Corps receive £180, described as "fantastic" by the group's civilian secretary Wendy Yarde-Dent.
She said: "The money will be used to buy two new tents for outdoor activities, such as training or Duke of Edinburgh competitions.
"It's fantastic for us. Because of the area we are in - Camborne, Pool and Redruth -  some of the cadets can't fund their own tents.
"This money will allow us to fund the equipment to allow everyone to take part in our activities."
The air cadets are based at RAF Portreath and meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.45pm to 10pm, with new members always welcome. For further details, ring 01209 843883 or visit 77sqn.com
A £650 award to One and All Youth Cycling will make a big dent in the £2,000 the club needs to find to build an off-road cycle skills track at Bissoe.
Club spokesman Ian Wherry said: "We set up an academy for youth riders last November and we've got about 90 riders now.
"We want to build this training track which is going to cost about £2,000.
"We've raised some money ourselves, but to get support from the public like this is huge for us."
The track, when built, will be near the cycle centre at Bissoe and be available for use by everyone.
Stithians Methodist Chapel has been awarded £200 for its youth drop-in programme.
The aim is to introduce young people to new social groups, using the money to hire a venue and to pay for resources.
Jonathon (correct)  Lewis, from the drop-in project team, said: "Hearing that we had won this award was a great way to start 2013.
"We'd just had a meeting to find a way forward after another funding application fell through.
"This award is a real boost to what we are trying to do."
The other recipients of awards were Halwin Primary School (£600), At Agnes AFC (£200), JuMP (correct) (£650), Godolphin Cross (£200), Perranporth RFC (£200), Nankersey Rowing (£650), 1st Playing Place scout group (£650).
