The Cornish Pirates have made ten changes to their starting line-up for the British and Irish Cup clash with Dundee High tomorrow.
The Cornish side will be led by Gary Johnson, who will partner David Lyons in the second-row.
Darren Semmens starts at hooker, while a starting role in the back-row has also been earned by Alex Cheeseman. Having featured for the Pirates mainly as a centre, he has performed well as a replacement flanker of late.
Back-rower Tom Duncan from Redruth, who is the leading try-scorer in National Two South this season, will hope to make his debut for the Pirates off the bench, whereas for stalwart Rob Elloway it could be an 150th appearance for the club.
There has been strong competition to replace suspended Alan Paver in the front row, according to head coach Ian Davies. "We've got guys chomping at the bit," he said. "Ryan Storer is starting this one because Paul Andrew is only just coming back from his neck injury after he missed out on the Bristol game."
Davies is hoping to give Duncan his debut at some point in the game but says expectations must be realistic.
"The difficulty with Tom, and Owen Hambly as well, is that he only trains one day a week with us," said Davies.
"It can be quite difficult to bring them up to speed. We had a joint training session on Tuesday night, so at least Tom had an extra session with us this week.
"The danger is that we are not going to see his full talents because he doesn't quite understand how we do things, as he is only being drip-fed the information."
Dundee High have named Scotland international Rory Lamont in their starting line-up to face Pirates.
Dundee started the new year with a comprehensive 35-12 win over Currie, with Scotland back Lamont one of their try-scorers.
The Glasgow Warriors player lasted 60 minutes on his return from injury.
