Cornish Pirates must wait until this morning to find out if their British and Irish Cup match against Carmarthen Quins will go ahead.
Heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures have already forced postponements across the National Leagues fixture list. League Two South sides Redruth and the Cornish All Blacks both had their matches called off yesterday.
The All Blacks, in sixth place, were hoping to move above hosts Shelford, who are directly above them in the league table.
A frozen pitch was deemed unplayable at lunchtime yesterday and the fixture will now take place on March 16.
Officials at Redruth were especially disappointed their home clash with Barking was postponed. The Recreation Ground is in good condition but the club now expect the game to take place on February 23.
Club secretary Roger Watson said yesterday: "I know it is difficult and you worry when you are travelling. We had a phone call from them first thing this morning asking if we would consider postponing, so we contacted the National Clubs Association and they said Barking must travel.
"But they then went to the Rugby Football Union's competitions committee who overruled that and said Barking do not need to travel and the game must be postponed.
"We have a pitch here that is perfectly fine to play on, we have sponsors booked in who will have to stand down and all the food has been bought.
"We have had no league game here since the middle of December and we will now go the whole of January without one because our next home game is against Worthing on February 2.
"It would have been the only game played in the league and given us a chance to catch up the game in hand we have on the league leaders. We are pretty disappointed all-round."
However, both Pirates and Quins are hopeful their game at Carmarthan Park will take place today, despite the recent heavy snowfall in West Wales. There will be a pitch inspection at 11am today.
Hooker Rob Elloway will make his 150th appearance if the game takes place. Darren Barry returns to the second row and Kyle Marriott will lead the side as Ben Maidment moves to No.8. JJ Kilmartin starts at full-back, Junior Fatialofa plays alongside Sam Hill at centre, while Grant Pointer is named on the bench after recovering from injury.
