Cornwall's Crealy Great Adventure Park has announced it will extend its opening hours after reporting one of its busiest years.
The park was set to close on weekdays from next Monday but will now stay open through September and October. It is also lowering its admission fee from £14.95 to £9.99 from September 10.
Despite the inclement weather the tourist attraction has seen an 11 per cent increase in memberships and around three per cent increase in overall footfall. Reports of return visits are up 24 per cent on last year too.
Its promotional weekends have also proved a success with footfall increasing by an average of 200 per cent on these days.
Simon Townsend, the Park's General Manager, said: "What a year this has been for Crealy. To see visitor numbers, memberships and repeat visits up on last year's figures is just fantastic.
"Like all tourist attractions, we have had to work really hard to entice people away from the comfort of their (dry) homes, but thankfully people have taken notice of our motto of 'all weather fun' and visited the park come rain or shine."
He added: "Our new admissions price of £9.99 is our way of saying 'thank you' for the support shown and we hope to welcome many more families over the coming weeks and months."
The park will be open daily from 10.30am until 5pm until 4 November 2012. For more information about opening times, directions and offers, visit www.crealy.co.uk.
