A TRURO City goalkeeper who killed two children when drink-driving has left the club.
Luke McCormick was jailed in October 2008 after he admitted causing the deaths of Arron Peak, 10, and Ben Peak, 8, on the M6 in Staffordshire having been drunk behind the wheel.
McCormick joined Truro City earlier in the season while the club was in administration.
Truro City announced this morning that the goalkeeper had signed for Oxford United.
Pete Masters, Truro City chairman, said: "Given Luke's previous history, the club came under substantial criticism from both the local and national press - indeed, some supporters voted with their feet, which proved costly.
"That said, the club remained at Luke's side and gradually introduced him again to the game of football and more importantly the supporters on both sides."
Mr Masters said Truro City was pleased to have been part of McCormick's rehabilitation and wished him well for the future at Oxford United.
A replacement will be announced shortly.
