Drivers who abuse the private parking spaces at St Gluvias Church hall in Penryn now risk a hefty fine.
The Parochial Church Council (PCC) has made the decision to contract Armtrac Security Services to manage the service at West Street to tackle the problem.
Annie Jones from the PCC said: "Over the last few months we have been trying to increase the use of the church hall and give it a new lease of life.
"This has meant that the parking spaces are now needed for the users of the hall. The continued use by the general public is causing inconvenience both to the legitimate users of the hall and the residents of Calver Close."
As a result the PCC decided that the spaces must be managed for the benefit of those people using the hall for activities.
Armtrac signs are going up this week and letters have been sent to residents in and around Calver Close and West Street, as well as many of the vehicles that were parked there.
"We hope and trust you will understand our need to introduce these new arrangements," added Ms Jones.
