FIRE services were called to a junction at Truro this morning when a mobile telephone mast was damaged by high winds.
One fire engine arrived at the scene just before 10am to make the area safe for the public.
Engineers from the mast owner, Vodafone, arrived at the A390 junction with Station Road between Aldi and Sainsbury's shortly after to start repairs.
The top section of the mast is covered by a two-metre fibre glass covering made of four parts. It is understood that two of these panels had blown away in 23mph winds.
