The Bude Coastguard Rescue Team had a busy start to the weekend after a string of call outs to people in danger.
After helping ambulance staff with the rescue of a 60-year-old woman in Crackington Haven, the team were called to Summerleaze Beach at 3.30pm after reports of a person cut off by the tide.
They discovered a young local male who had been filming his friend surfing and did not notice the incoming water.
After taking him to safety they were asked to assist police who were dealing with a group of drunken teenagers in the same area.
A spokesman for Falmouth Coastguard said: "They seemed to have had a fight and one had been pushed partially over the edge of the cliff. He needed some medical attention."
Devon and Cornwall Police were not available for comment.
