Three west Cornwall carers have appeared in court charged with wilful neglect at the John Daniel Centre in Penzance.
Benjamin Alan Jenkins, 22, of Penbeagle Crescent, St Ives and Philip Anthony John Sowden, 59, of Alverne Buildings, Penzance have both been charged with two counts of ill-treating or wilfully neglecting a person without capacity.
Christine Maureen Keller, 57, of High Lanes, Hayle has been charged with one count of the same offence
All three pleaded not guilty to the charges at Truro Magistrates Court this morning and were released on conditional bail.
Magistrates agreed with prosecutor Alison May that the case was more suited to the Crown Court and the case was adjourned to April 4.
The offences are alleged to have happened at the centre from April 2007 to December 2011.
