Plymouth Parkway 1 Bodmin Town 1
Prolific scorer Adam Carter rescued a point for Bodmin in their top of the table clash against Plymouth Parkway at Bolitho Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Carlsberg South West Peninsula League champions were trailing to a 67th minute Ryan Richards goal and looked to be on the way to their first away league defeat in 16 months.
But Carter, who had an effort disallowed in the 71st minute, was on hand to head home an 86th minute equaliser for Darren Gilbert's side.
Bodmin will regard this as a good point in the circumstances, having had striker Glynn Hobbs sent off in the 40th minute against his former club for an alleged elbow on Jamie Bass.
The Cornish side were also without influential midfield men Olly Brokenshire (unavailable) and Steve Colwell (injured), as well as trusted central defender Tom Chambers (suspended).
So Bodmin stay three points clear of Parkway at the top of the premier division, and have a game in hand on the Plymouth side.
Bodmin boss Gilbert described the performance as the best of the season, given their player shortage and the sending off of Hobbs.
Other premier division results: Camelford 2 Elburton 3; Falmouth 0 Bovey Tracey 2; Liskeard 1 Newquay 2; Penzance 0 Witheridge 6; St Austell 3 Tavistock 3; St Blazey 1 Ivybridge 0; Torpoint 1 Saltash 0.
In division one west, promotion rivals Helston and Wadebridge went goals crazy with big wins.
Second-placed Helston thrashed Holsworthy 11-0 while third-placed Wadebridge also reached double figures, beating Foxhole 10-0.
Leaders Godolphin Atlantic also collected three points, but only needed to score one goal to beat Dobwalls.
Other division one west results: Callington 5 Truro 1; Hayle 4 Vospers 0; Penryn 3 St Dennis 2; Sticker 1 Perranporth 0.
