THE sea may have been a little rough, but it did not deter James Rowden from getting baptised in Falmouth.
He became about the eighth person to be baptised by Harbour Church since it was revived nearly three years ago.
The church was established by Roger Wyatt, who trained as an Elim minister in 2003.
He said: "We baptise people when they decide that they want to be a Christian and follow Christ.
"There were loads of people there to watch, and James' mum made a special trip from Dubai to see her son baptised.
"The water was freezing and quite a rough day for Gyllyngvase, but it was great fun ."
After the baptism, everyone gathered on the beach and read Psalm 16.
Members meet at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall every Sunday at 10.45am, with additional meetings during the week.
