Truro City player-manager Lee Hodges must play a waiting game before tonight's Blue Square Bet South home match against Weston-super-Mare.
Defender Martin Watts (ankle) limped out of last Saturday's 1-1 draw at Bath City and is an injury doubt.
Watts was replaced by substitute Ben Williams while Hodges made his second start in a row, sweeping behind new central defensive pairing Paul Kendall and Ben Gerring.
The City boss was pleased with the way Truro defended at Bath until conceding a leveller in the fourth minute of stoppage time, after Andy Watkins had fired the Cornish side ahead in the 90th minute.
Hodges was philosophical about the end result and is now looking forward to tonight's home return against Somerset's Seagulls.
The Truro boss said: "It's an old cliché but it rings so true and that is if we can defend like we did at Bath again then we are in with half a chance, again.
"It's about getting some level of consistency into our game again. I'm sure, if we can defend like we did at Bath, then you never know what will happen at the other end.
"On Saturday Watto has popped up with a goal out of nowhere and I know he is capable of that, and he's not the only one in the team.
"I've lost count of the number of times I have said it but we will always create chances and, despite our position in the table, we have always got goals. It's down to how we defend."
Bottom team Truro turned in one of their best performances of the season to claim their first league win of the campaign, 2-0 at Weston, back in August.
Skipper Jake Ash – who is set to be ruled out by a groin injury tonight – missed that win and was again replaced by Hodges in defence.
It seems highly likely the Truro manager will again task himself with adding experience to the City defence.
Regardless of whether he plays or not, Hodges is sure of one thing: "It will be another tough test," he said.
"We went to Bath and they were on a roll and up near the top and Weston are even higher. They play good football and it is sure to be another challenging game for us, but the lads seem to relish these sort of games."
Sixth-placed Weston – who include former Plymouth Argyle and Torquay United central defender Matt Villis – arrive in Truro buoyed by Saturday's 2-0 home win over table-topping Welling United, with goals from Jamie Laird and man of the match Dayle Grubb.
Weston's win meant Welling slipped from top spot and were replaced by Salisbury City.
