RESIDENTS in Mousehole have banded together to set up an informal group which will take a proactive approach to dealing with problems facing the village.
LOVE Mousehole's first meeting in the Old Coastguard Hotel was attended by 35 people.
The group, which has no committee or agenda, will meet informally to discuss issues and organise community events.
Its first project is a Mousehole Walkabout on Saturday March 9 where villagers will sweep through the streets, clearing debris and tidying up.
Alice Maddox, who helped organise the first meeting, said: "I've heard it said that there is no community left in Mousehole, I don't think that's true. There are lots of small community groups who are very interested in what they do. This is an informal group of people that can get involved in everything."
