An increase in shoplifting incidents in Hayle has caused police to step up patrols in the town.
Officers are hunting two suspects from incidents which happened last week.
The first was the theft of beer and spirts worth £127 from the Co-op on February 25 in the afternoon.
The culprit is believed to be a 5'8" man in his early 30s who has dark hair and a beard.
A £52 bottle of Just Cavallli perfume was taken from the Boots at the West Cornwall Shopping park last Friday in the second case of shoplifting last week.
The shoplifter on this occasion is believed to be a white female in her 40s.
Hayle Sergeant Simon Dobson said: "Shoplifting is an ongoing issue.
"There has definitely been an increase in our area this year."
Anyone with information should contact police by dialing 101 and quoting crime reference number AY-13-176 and AY-13-187.
