All next week people across Cornwall are helping the Cornwall Air Ambulance to Fund A Flight by engaging in all kinds of fun activities, from the "Rotary Ramble" on Sunday, September 30 in Penzance to the affectionately titled "Have I Got Brews For You?" beer quiz at theDriftwood Spars in St Agnes on Friday, September 28.

Truro based Marketing and PR agency MPAD will be spending the day in tuxedos and evening dresses to raise money.

Rachel Picken, Director for MPAD said, "We really wanted to do something to support the Air Ambulance and initially thought about having a 'dress down' day.

"However, when I looked around the office I soon realised that half of our creative team were already in jeans, so we thought we would just reverse the trend and dress to the nines."

Richard Littlewood, Managing Director of Launceston based Kensey Foods will be rolling up his sleeves and going Back To The Bakery Floor to work.

"The Air Ambulance put themselves in the front line every day, so we thought it would be good to put me on our production line." Said Richard.

"Staff are going to be able to sponsor me to do anything from cutting fruit to cleaning down the production line.

"I'm a little nervous about what they may have in store for me, but deep down, I can't wait."

Sainsbury's in Truro are really getting in on the action with a week long programme of shenanigans including putting members of their management team into the stocks for a day.

Shoppers will be able to pay to soak the staff in what can only be described as a stock and shop event.

Mark Millbanks, Deputy store manager of Sainsbury's in Truro explained. "We are passionate about supporting the Cornwall Air Ambulance and often see it flying patients into Treliske Hospital.

"Our staff have been amazing, volunteering their time and coming up with some really inventive ideas.

"And no, I'm not telling anyone what time I will be in the stocks, in case my friends and family come and give me a real soaking."

Susie Smith, Fundraising Manager for the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust said "We are really pleased that so many people have got involved in Fund A Flight Week, but there is still time.

"Anyone can join in by going along to an event this week or even organising one of their own."
