A body has been recovered from a building in Looe which collapsed this morning following a landslide.
Police had been searching for a resident of one of the six flats at the rear of the property.
Susan Norman, in her 60s, hadn't been accounted for following the collapse before 6am this morning.
A major hunt was launched to find her involving sniffer dogs and specialist fire team officers.
Approximately six other properties in the street have been evacuated as a precaution and the Guildhall is being used as a temporary shelter.
The search was carried out by four crews from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service and the Urban Search and Rescue team, supported by other emergency services.
The ten-strong Urban Search and Rescue team, which is based in Exeter, used a range of specialist equipment to help stabilise the property so the search could take place.
Cornwall Council is working with the emergency services and the Health and Safety Executive to carry out a thorough investigation into the cause of the landslip.
A council spokesperson said earlier: "This is a very tragic incident and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the missing woman.
