POLICE in St Ives are trying to trace a man who may have been witness to an incident in the town.
Officers in St Ives are remaining cagey about what they will only describe as "an isolated incident of disorder" in the area of Trenwith Lane at 4.30pm on Wednesday March 13.
Sergeant Mike Friday said: "We don't want to go into detail at this stage in our investigation but we are seeking witnesses to what happened."
He is particularly keen to talk to a man who was seen sat in a car nearby when the incident occurred.
He said: "A small dark blue hatchback, with a partial registration of WH52, was believed to be parked in the area at this time with a white male sat in the front driver's seat described as 17 to 25 years of age and having short dark hair.
"I'm keen to identify the driver or occupant of this vehicle. Hopefully publicising this appeal may bring someone forward."
If you witnessed this incident or know the owner of the car please call the Police on 101 quoting crime reference AI/13/159.
