A Fowey student let her moves do the talking as she captained a Cornwall dance crew to a place in the World Streetdance Championships.
Year 11 pupil, Maddie Brockett, and the rest of the crew from 4Real Dance, based in St Austell, earned their place in the World Championships after finishing in second place in the UDO Streetdance Championships at Brean Sands, Somerset, on Sunday, March 17.
What this means for Maddie and her crew, known as, PDX, is that they will now go move to move against the best dancers and crews from around the world in a bid to take the trophy.
During the Championships at Brean Sands, Maddie took part in a solo dance, duo dance and crew dance. She was also nominated by the other members to captain the crew.
An achievement made even more impressive when you take into account that it was her first ever competition.
Although the World Championships are now firmly on the calendar the crew first have the matter of taking to the dance floor at the regional competition in Exeter at the end of April.
