ONE department at Truro College has refused to put away the Union Jacks and bunting, even though the jubilee celebrations and Olympics are now a distant memory.
This year, students enrolled on hairdressing, beauty therapy and catering courses are linking their work to the theme of Best of British.
Within the college in the opening weeks of term the catering students have been applying their creative skills to create a giant Union Jack pavlova with blueberries and raspberries providing the splashes of patriotic colour.
Meanwhile hairdressing and beauty therapy students are displaying their exceptional talents farther afield, taking the Best of British as their brief at the UK Skills competition in Birmingham.
