Past, present and future members of Praze and District Young Farmers celebrated the club's 75th anniversary at Leedstown village hall.
Nearly 150 guests spent the evening enjoying a trip down memory lane as they looked through the archive of scrapbooks and minutes books as well as taking the opportunity to view a DVD of past entertainment acts and a slide show of photographs and newspaper articles spanning 75 years.
Among the guests was Tom Roberts, who was a founder member of the club and the first ever treasurer in 1938.
He gave a speech and cut the anniversary cake which was made jointly by Beatrice Dyer, Annabel Hawken and Sam Henwood.
Jean Richards, club president, reminded those present that the club had originally started as a cattle rearing club with its first meeting being held at Leedstown Village Hall exactly 75 years ago.
After the speeches, pasties donated by The Cornish Oven and a slice of the anniversary cake were enjoyed by all.
A new book covering the memories of the last 15 years of the club was launched at the party.
It was written by past and present members of the club and is intended to be read as the next chapter to the two previous books.
If anyone would like to buy a book they are available from Cathy Woolcock.
There are three more events planned to mark the 75th anniversary year.
On June 30, there will be a garden party at Castle Kayle Farm.
The annual dinner and dance will take place at the Penventon Park Hotel on October 12, and a club Harvest Festival will take place at Gwinear Church on October 13.
