A woman walking in Redruth in the early hours of Monday morning was the victim of an attempted robbery.
The 24-year-old was approached in Drump Road between midnight and 1am and an attempt was made to steal her hand bag.
The offender grabbed her shoulder bag from behind and pulled her backwards to the ground, but she struggled and managed to hold onto her bag before the assailant ran off.
The victim sustained a cut below her right eye and cuts and grazes.
