POLICE have renewed their appeal for information following a "cowardly" attack on a nightclubgoer who suffered a broken jaw.
Nicholas Tyrrell, 21, from Redruth, was punched several times in the face in L2 in Truro, suffering a broken lower jaw.
He hopes his account of the July 15 incident will lead to potential witnesses from Redruth or Camborne coming forward.
"I think I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I had never seen the man before, it was unprovoked."
Detective Constable Mark Jenkin, of Truro police, said: "Having viewed the CCTV this is in my opinion a particularly cowardly attack. The suspect is seen to take a full swing and then punch the unsuspecting victim to the face.
"He then appears to support the back of the victim's head whilst punching the victim a second time. There does not appear to be any motive for this assault. The victim sustained a broken jaw and was lucky not to have suffered more serious injuries."
Anyone who recognises the man in the image, wearing a white shirt with a blue, checked pattern is urged to contact the police on 101, quoting reference GT/12/1406.
