CORNISH Pirates fans are gearing up for one of the biggest games of the season today in the quarter finals of the British & Irish Cup against Munster.
Large crowds are expected at the Mennaye Field in Penzance for the game and www.thisiscornwall.co.uk will have all the action in our live blog from 2.30pm.
The Pirates beat Munster in 2010 to lift the inaugural British & Irish Cup and hope to beat the current Cup holders again today.
Munster also have a second quarter-final today in the Heineken Cup against Harlequins but Pirates expect them to field a strong 'A' team.
Gavin Cattle, who led the Pirates to victory in 2010, makes a quick return to the side for Sunday's match with Aaron Penberthy as his half-back partner.
Other changes from the Pirates side that lost 18-26 to Bedford Blues last week, sees Wes Davies selected at full back and Grant Pointer moved to the wing.
Speaking in a message to supporters ahead of this match, new CEO and Performance Director, Josh Lewsey, said: "It is poignant that for this coming Sunday's game we will welcome one of the greatest rugby establishments in Europe, who for me are an example of what the Pirates can ultimately represent.
Having played with and against some great Munster men, I know what it means for them to pull on that shirt and what that shirt represents for that region and community.
Despite that, the greatest show of respect is to beat them so please cheer our boys on and I look forward to meeting all of you personally over the coming months."
Ahead of the match, Penzance rower Helen Glover tweeted: "@CornishPirates1 best of luck with the quarter finals today #oggyoggyoggy"
