A naval helicopter crew flew a 400-mile round trip to rescue an Indonesian man from a Spanish fishing boat. Sea King Rescue helicopter 193, from RNAS Culdrose, set off at 10.50pm on Saturday on a sortie right at the limits of its safety range, stopping at the Isles of Scilly to refuel. Falmouth Coastguard said the man had "a problem with his nether regions" which required urgent treatment "within six hours". He was winched to safety some 160 nautical miles from Scilly and was taken to Treliske.
