A family of five were rescued after getting cut off by the tide and getting stranded on the coast.
The family had been walking on the North Cornwall coast when they ran into trouble.
A helicopter and two lifeboats were sent to their aid after the alarm was raised yesterday afternoon.
The incident happened at Bedruthan Steps in Cornwall, shortly after 3.30pm.
Bedruthan Steps is a notorious spot for people getting stranded as the tide comes in.
Falmouth Coastguards coordinated the rescue operation, calling in lifeboat crews and a search and rescue helicopter from RNAS Culrose.
Four members of the family were picked up in two lifeboats before being taken to the safety of crew's boathouse.
The other family member, and the family dog, were airlifted to the top of the cliffs by the rescue helicopter.
None of the family members were said to have been harmed during their ordeal.
