Cornish Pirates coach Harvey Biljon has promised to do the club proud this weekend, despite a horrendous schedule of three games in eight days.
The Penzance club face another long trip for Sunday's Championship clash with Nottingham, just days after losing an 11-try battle with Rotherham Titans at Clifton Lane.
The Pirates were also knocked out of the British and Irish Cup at Mennaye Field last weekend.
The fixture backlog is a result of last month's snowfall in Yorkshire, when the Pirates were originally due to play the Titans away. The only time to reschedule the game was in midweek.
Tomorrow's opponents, Nottingham, are second in the Championship table with a place in the play-offs already confirmed.
Pirates, meanwhile, are merely playing for pride, having reached the last two Championship finals.
Biljon said: "We know the challenges that are ahead of us and we just need to keep our heads down and hopefully, if we keep working hard, we will get our reward.
"Nottingham are a team that are flying high and going really well. We have got a fair few bangs and bruises, all received in a short space of time but don't underestimate the motivation and drive of our players.
"I still feel with everything against us, we can still go out there and perform in a way that anyone involved with the Pirates can be proud of."
Pirates made 14 changes for their match with the Titans and came away with a 41-18 defeat following a free-flowing game. Four tries earned the Cornishmen a losing bonus point and Biljon hinted that a similar attacking strategy from his side was a possibility again this weekend.
He said: "We will adopt a similar attacking mentality to a point. We definitely want to give the boys a little bit more freedom but we don't want to make it a silly game for ourselves. We will have framework to play within."
Pirates have opted to make significant team changes once again this weekend. Skipper Gavin Cattle returns to the starting line-up at scrum-half, with Aaron Penberthy his half-back partner, and others called back to start are wing Matt Evans, centre Tom Riley, plus experienced back-rowers Laurie McGlone and Kyle Marriott, along with hooker Rob Elloway.
Cornish Pirates: Moyle; Mercer, Riley, Hill, Evans; Penberthy, Cattle (capt); Storer, Elloway, Joyce; Lyons, Barry; Marriott, Cheeseman, McGlone. Replacements: Andrew, Tanner, Tyas, Burgess, Kessell, Hallett, Smith.
