A woman was airlifted to hospital after she suffered a heart attack on Perranporth beach yesterday evening.
The woman is thought to have been taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske, just after 6pm.
Falmouth Coastguard received a call at 6.03pm and initially the Rescue 193 helicopter from RNAS Culdrose was issued to attend the emergency.
But it was called to assist an emergency just off the Isles of Scilly to search for two French fishermen who had been washed overbaord, so a Cornwall Air Aumbulance was sent in its place.
St Agnes search and rescue team also attended the incident and helped to get the woman onto the aircraft.
It is not known at this time what her condition is.
