Fire crews closed off one lane of Truro's main shopping street to deal the mystery of a dummy planted on a roof.
The dummy was spotted indulging in a bit of fishing on top of a building in Boscawen Street.
The stuffed dummy appeared over the weekend on the roof above the Timpson's shop. It was holding a length of wood with a wellington boot attached to string as if it had been fishing.
Mystified shop worker Simon Oates, from Timpson's, said: "We have absolutely no idea how it got there.
"Somebody asked me this morning what it was on the roof and people have been looking at it ever since."
