MORE than £1000 worth of cocaine was seized during a drugs raid in Newquay.
Police found the Class A drug, with a street value of £1,300, at a property in the Mayfield area of Newquay on Monday.
The pre-planned raid saw the Newquay force, which used a warrant under the misuse of drugs act to enter the property, also seize £300 worth of cannabis.
A male has been charged with possession of a controlled drug.
Newquay inspector Dave Meredith described it as a "significant seizure" which was a "pre-planned intelligence lead operation" intended to target the supply of controlled drugs in Newquay.
