Firefighters were called to deal with a damaged gas cylinder at Lanlivery near Bodmin.
The fire crew from Lostwithiel was called to deal with the incident at approximately 1.30am today.
A fire service spokesman said: "Crews used a covering jet at the incident, the cylinder was left to vent to the atmosphere.
"Once the gas cylinder was safe, fire crews assisted removing a further 14 gas cylinders from the scene."
