A Falmouth artist is hoping to repeat some of his success at Christie's when his latest marine painting goes up for auction.
Jamie Medlin set a record after his oil painting of the yacht The Solent sold at the auction house for £127,000 in November.
The figure was three times the auction guide price and as a result Christie's asked him to do another one from the same J-Class Regatta in Falmouth.
His new piece is of Lionheart way ahead of the fleet off Pendennis Castle during the final race.
The painting will be on display at the Falmouth Art Gallery for the next two weeks prior to it going to Christie's.
Limited edition prints will also be available to buy from Gallery 18 on The Moor.
The 42-year-old has been painting for 25 years and The Solent is not his first record breaking piece.
In 2011 he set a record when a Pendennis Cup piece featuring Mariquita sold for nearly £50,000.
