Firefighters were called to a holiday park last night after a car's engine caught alight.
Retained crews from St Austell and Mevagissey were called to the Pentewan Sands Holiday Park shortly before 7.50pm.
A Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: " The fire was in the engine's compartment. There was more smoke than flames and the crews used one hose reel to deal with it."
It took the firefighters 20 minutes to put out the blaze.
The car is believed to have been a Vauxhall Astra.
