A Sea King helicopter airlifted a woman to hospital this morning after a two vehicle collision in Pewithick near St Austell.
The accident on the B3374 road happened just before 11am this morning.
Firefighters from St Austell and the rescue tender from Bodmin arrived at the scene and used crash rescue equipment to free the occupant of one of the vehicles.
The Sea King helicopter flew the woman to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. Police say her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
