Cornwall's online travel and tourism guide has been short-listed in the British Interactive Media Awards (BIMA) 2012.
The VisitCornwall website is run by the Cornwall Development Company to promote the county as a holiday destination, not only to people in the UK, but also further afield. It is in the running for the Best Leisure and Culture category along with the BBC website.
The www.visitcornwall.com website receives 1.5 million hits a year.
Lauren Hogan, digital marketing manager at VisitCornwall, said it was an achievement to be nominated.
She said: "To be short-listed for an award alongside media leaders such as the BBC is a huge achievement and establishes Cornwall as a leader in digital marketing.
"The website is Cornwall's shop window to the world," she continued.
"A world class, premier holiday and leisure destination requires a world class, premier digital presence, and being shortlisted for this award shows that digital experts recognise the website as this."
Joan Symons, Cornwall Council's portfolio holder for tourism, culture and leisure, said: "This is really good news.
"Recognition at this level is thoroughly deserved and serves to highlight the quality of Cornwall's digital tourism offer."
