Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service was called to deal with a chimney fire on Church Road, Penryn at 8.30pm last night.
One crew from Falmouth Community Fire Station attended a fire in the chimney of a woodburner.
The firefighters used a stirrup pump and rods to extinguish the fire by 2150hrs.
At the same time another crew were being called out in a different part of Cornwall following a report of a fire on Bodmin Moor.
A crew from Launceston used beaters and pitchforks to put the fire on Bastreet Downs out by 10.30pm.
