A widowed Tory South East Cornwall MP whose fisherman husband was crushed to death when he was entangled in his own net has found love again with a fellow Conservative. Sheryll Murray lost her husband Neil, 57, in March 2011 as he worked near Looe in Cornwall. He suffered appalling injuries when his jacket became snared in machinery as he reeled in his catch. He died on the same day his wife made an impassioned speech in the House of Commons condemning the proposed closure of coastguard stations and safety at sea. Two years on Mrs Murray, a mother-of-two, has put her heartbreak behind her by embarking on a relationship with a political ally. The 57-year-old widow is enjoying a blossoming romance with Bob Davidson, campaign manager for the Conservative Party for Cornwall and a town councillor in St Austell. She said: "I never thought I would find love again. I have worked with Bob since he came to Cornwall in 2006. "We worked closely in the election and when Neil had his fatal accident Bob managed the whole thing for me because it was a big shock, so he got to know my kids and he started accompanying me to things. "There are some events where you have to take someone else and because I was a widow Bob used to come with me. Things just developed between us". Mrs Murray said her new partner gets on well with her adult children Sally, 37, and Andrew, 25, and the pair were thinking of moving in together. She said her late husband would approve of her new relationship, adding: "It's nice to have someone to share things with and someone to discuss difficult decisions with and that's the sort of relationship I had always had with Neil. "I would ask Neil what he thought about something and he would always say, 'Well, what does Bob think?' "I'm pretty sure that Neil would be absolutely delighted that I have found someone to share my life with."
