ILLOGAN RBL were crowned Jolly's Combination League champions after they comfortably overcame Wendron at Oxland Parc on Tuesday evening.
Victory over St Just on Saturday meant Mikey Pascoe's men needed just a point from their remaining three games to ensure they couldn't be caught at the top by rivals St Day.
And they did it with two games to spare as they put three past Wendron to clinch their first title since 2010; an achievement Pascoe believes his side fully deserve.
He said: "It's a relief because it's been a tense few weeks but we can relax now. We were up for it today and I'm glad we got the job done."
If there were any nerves for the hosts before kick off, Rob Bray ensured they could briefly relax when he smashed home from the edge of the area after Wendron failed to clear a corner inside seven minutes.
However, their lead lasted just five minutes after a moment goalkeeper Barrie-John Wyatt will want to forget as he sliced Jason Roberts' back pass straight in to the path of Nathan McIntosh who had the simple task of tapping in to the empty net.
But Illogan proved just why they are champions as they picked themselves up and got themselves back in front moments later when Luke Wort found the bottom corner with a free kick.
Ryan Tresidder did his best to prevent Illogan going further ahead shortly afterwards as he denied Simon Ellis's curling effort as the hosts pushed for a third, but they were nearly caught out a minute in to the second half when Rob Dunn played Ben Allen in on goal but the centre forward couldn't find the target.
That miss would prove costly for Wendron as the hosts sealed victory, and the title, when Dan Bowman headed in from a James Martin corner just after the hour mark.
