Cornwall's Chris Harris failed to make it to the semi-finals in Saturday night's British Grand Prix in Cardiff one an action-packed evening in Wales which saw fellow countryman Tai Woffinden suffer a broken collarbone. The night belonged to World championship leader Emil Sayfutdinov who extended his lead at the top of the standings following victory at the Millennium Stadium. The racing surface had to be relayed overnight due to issues at practice on Friday, but despite an improvement it caused a number of problems, as Sayfutdinov won an action-packed meeting, his third success of the season. Truro-born Harris scored seven points from five rides in the British Grand Prix as Niels-Kristian Iversen (16), Fredrik Lindgren (12), Krzysztof Kasprzak (13), Chris Holder (14), Nicki Pedersen (11), Sayfutdinov (14), Martin Vaculik (11) and Greg Hancock (11) reached the semis. Woffinden had gone ahead in the world standings after taking seven points in his first three rides, but in heat 14 he went down. Lindgren came in hard to the third corner and pushed his Wolves team-mate across - he went into Pedersen before slamming into the air fence.
