Big Country will be visiting Falmouth's Princess Pavilion on Wednesday, October 30 as part of the Land's End to John O' Groats Tour 2013. With this tour the band are taking on a very special project as each date on the tour is more of a micro event with sets crafted for each hometown. Every song and every note of every show will be an extension of the town's people, aimed straight at the heart of each community, promising the communion of soul and sound. This is not to be missed. Formed in Dunfermline in 1981, Big Country went on to become one of the most celebrated British rock bands of a generation. Selling more than 10 million albums worldwide and touring with such luminaries as the Rolling Stones, David Bowie and Queen. Following the tragic death of Stuart Adamson in 2001 the band remained dormant until New Year's Eve 2010. Since then the band have played at all the major UK and European Festivals and their latest album release – The Journey – which is their first album release in 14 years has been lauded by fans and critics alike. The current line-up features former mainman with The Alarm, Mike Peters, and Simple Minds bassist Derek Forbes. Starts 8.30pm. Standing. Advance Tickets £20 - available from the Pavilion box office on 01326 211222. Or book online via SeeTickets and Hall for Cornwall.
